Passel of Flying Squirrels

Rarely seen Canada and North America (because they're nocturnal) Southern Flying Squirrels are a species at risk. Deforestation, especially the removal of old trees which these squirrels use for nesting, sleeping and storing food, is severely limiting their home ranges. Luckily, in Canada, they are protected under the Fish and Wildlife Conservation Act. And, it is hoped that by changing the forestry regulations to allow for more old trees to be left standing in order to help woodpeckers, that those small changes will also benefit the Southern Flying Squirrel.

What you don't see is the other three squirrels smooshed together behind these two. It's like they have no bones. O.o
