Well, I created the Group earlier than I had planned, but, it's alive! *snerk*
(I figured that getting the stomach flu and not being able to do anything that requires moving or eating was as good a reason as any. At least this way, I can do something constructive with my time. *smirk*)
While the character limit on the creation page limited what I could call it, the group is properly called 'Canadian Wildlife Photography'. My rough draft layout left me with twenty-three gallery folders, more than half of them for bird species. I may end up adding a gallery or two as the group grows, just to lessen the strain on too-full folders as time goes on.
I've already started sending out invited and submission requests, so, hopefully, it'll gain some photos soon.
And the Librarian in me is having a conniption fit. No one seems to write where their photos were taken. *headdesk* How do I know if the pic was taken in Canada or not? Just because it says that you're Canadian doesn't give me any clue about where the shot was taken. I've found pics from people who live in Germany, and they visited Canada on a trip, and the only way I know that is because they put a note in the description to tell people.
The ever popular '...' description tells me absolutely nothing. Even a Park name is better than that, because I can at least research the park name and find out where it's located.
*grumbles*
Alright, yes, I'm anal about this. It's a pet peeve, and I should just let people do their own thing. But finding pics to request submission into a group is a whole other ballgame, and I need some sort of info to go on, otherwise all that happens is that I sit here and try to keep my right eye from twitching.
I really wish there was a 'headdesk' mood icon on this journal.

Where to find me + Notification Issues!
I am now on Redbubble, and Society 6!
I'm still adding new photos and fractals to both accounts, so feel free to pop in as often as you want!
Also, to the people who sent me correspondence to have some of my photos added to their galleries - I'm having a technical issue where I cannot view the notifications! I've alerted the Help Desk! So please don't think I'm snubbing you, I'm just unable to view my notices!
Edit - And now all my correspondences are missing. *sigh* Feel free to resend them, whoever you are!
Merry Christmas / Redbubble Shop
Haven't been around in a while, so I thought I'd poke my head in here in time to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
I've also opened a Redbubble Shop! I find it's nicer than Cafepress, and the prices are better too!
Everything there will be decorated with both my fractal work and my photography!
Feel free to take a look!
Rebel's Redbubble Shop!
My Swag @ Etsy!
It started back in 2004, when I was first hit with major depression and a fairly large anxiety disorder. My full-time job as a library technician got punted onto the sidelines as I started a ten year fight to keep myself alive and sane. (Mostly sane? At least 1/4 sane. Honest. Maybe a little less....)
I digress.
I quickly learned that I needed distractions in order to keep myself in check. Making jewellery became one of those distractions (along with gaming, music, and nature photography. Weird combo, huh?).
Turns out, I was good at it. The older necklaces are gone (honestly, as I progressed, I decided I didn't like them and took them apar
